Shirley was raised with the love of music in her heart.  
At the age of nine, she started playing the piano with one finger,
along with a lot of banging.  Her parents Joseph & Bernice Sesler worked
very hard in their profession to provide for their children, along with
being saved, sanctified and filled with the holy ghost parents, keeping
their four children faithfully in the house of the Lord.


There were many times when my father did not want to
hear a lot of noise, so he would keep the piano locked.  However,
when he left out for work, my mother would open up the
piano and say “bang baby bang, I might get me a musician
out of this”.  Today, I thank God for my mother
letting me bang, because a musician
is what she got.


For the past 20 years, I have been a director/musician
over a 25-voice (male & female) choir, at the
Macedonia Baptist Church.   In addition, I am director/musician
over a 15-voice (male) choir, at Calvary Baptist church. As a
whole, I have used my gift from the Lord in many churches, and
on different Christian occasions.


In September 2007, the Lord allowed me to reunite
with a 20 year old friendship. We were colleagues in college.  
Fourteen months later, the Lord has put us
together as husband and wife.  


Today, I am proud to say that I am the wife of  
Rev. Kervin Herring Sr.  My husband is a true man of
God, and I know that because I delighted myself in the
Lord, he gave me the desires of my heart.

Everything that I know and have accomplished;
in my  life, I owe it all to God first.  I take nothing
for granted when it comes to God, and I cherish
every blessing that he gives me.


Today I am grateful to God because he continues to
place new songs in my heart.  Songs for healing and songs
that will just get you through the day.  


I am so thankful for the many blessings that God has
given me, but I am most thankful that he chose me to be
his child, do his work, and use me as an instrument to help
bring people to Christ.  Who can ask for anything more?  


As long as I continue to follow the scripture,
“Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”,
I know that I can have life more abundantly.


Today, I am committed to Christ, and I love him with
all of my heart. At the same time, I love people, and I love
helping people.  Whatever God has for me to do, I want to do
it.  If it will bring someone to Christ, I want to do it.  If it will
deliver someone, I want to do it.  If it will heal someone, I want to do it.
